The Baahubali fever is all around. Our very own epic, high-scale drama and of course the most pressing question of all times – Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? But, amidst all the mystery and wonderment, wars and conflicts between the royalties, the grandeur and glamour, the astonishingly beautiful set and high-end visual effects, there’s something that caught our attention. The unique and grand collection of jewellery that the female and male characters in the movie wore. Yes, we are biased towards jewellery! But, you’ll agree with us if you took time to notice that each of the 1000 pieces of jewellery used in the movie was a true gem. Yes, 1000 pieces. No kidding!
Jewellery has a very significant role to play in an epic movie such as Baahubali. They make the characters more authentic and believable. Considering what the first part of this magnanimous movie did to us all, a lot of the credit must go to the jewellery designers of the film. The jewellery of every character was bang on – they spelled royalty, elegance and style.
The entire jewellery collection of Baahubali was hand-crafted, and therefore, their intricate detailing and elegance don’t come as a surprise to us. Some of the jewellery pieces worn in the movie were designed in a team effort by the craftsmen and artists of the Jaipur-based Amrapali Jewels and the Baahubali team. Amrapali was the official jewellery designer for the second series of the movie, which handcrafted over 1500 jewellery pieces comprising the earrings, traditional jhumkas, heavy necklaces, nose rings, bangles, rings, armlets, maang-tikkas and of course the much-talked about pendants and waist belts.
Let’s walk you through some of the Baahubali inspired jewellery ideas to infuse a tinge of royalty and grandeur to your personality too!
